Scouts
About Scouts
The Scout troop is the 3rd section in our group for children aged 10 to 14. Most of our Scouts have previously been in Beavers and Cubs so progress into Scouts when they become to old for Cubs.
Being involved in our Scout section allows us to help the scouts develop their confidence, sense of adventure and new and existing skills including in the outdoors. It also offers them the chance to be more independent and put their skills and knowledge to the test on camps and during meetings. All of our Scouts are encouraged to work as a team, to develop their leadership skills and help in their community.
Structure:
A Scout troop is divided into smaller groups we know as patrols. Each of the patrols are lead by an older scout known as a patrol leader and most patrols will also have an assistant patrol leader.
